ਹੰਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੰਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਖਰੀ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਹੰਉ ਢੂੰਢਿ ਢੂਢੇਦੀ ਸੋ ਸਜਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ਏਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੀ ॥ ਹੰਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੰਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਖਰੀ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ॥1॥ ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਚਰਣ ਤਿਨ ਚਰਣ ਸਰੇਵਹ ਹਮ ਲਾਗਹ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸਰੇਵਹ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਇਆ ॥ ਤੂ ਵਡਦਾਤਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੇਲਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥2॥ ਹੰਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਹੰਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸਖਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੜੀ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾਂ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ ਹੰਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਹੰਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥3॥ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੈ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਲਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ॥4॥2॥

WADAHANS, FOURTH MEHL:
Without the Guru, I am without the Guru, I am totally dishonored. The Life of the world, the Life of the world, the Great Giver has led me to meet and merge with the Guru. Meeting the True Guru, I have merged into the Naam, the Name of the Lord. I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and meditate on it. I was seeking and searching for Him, for the Lord, my best friend; I found Him within the home of my own being. I see the One Lord, and I know the One Lord; I realize the Lord within my soul. Without the Guru, I am without the Guru, I am totally dishonored. 1 Those who have found the True Guru, the True Guru the Lord God unites them in His Union. Their feet, their feet, I adore; I fall at their feet. O Lord, Har, Har, I adore the feet of those who meditate on the True Guru, and the Almighty Lord God. You are the Great Giver, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; please, reward my faith, O Lord King. Meeting the Gursikhs, my faith is rewarded; night and day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. Those who have found the True Guru, the True Guru the Lord God unites them in His Union. 2 I am a sacrifice, I am a sacrifice to the Gursikhs, my dear friends. They chant the Lords Name, the Lords Name; the Beloved Naam, the Name of the Lord, is my only Support. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the companion of my breath of life; without it, I cannot live for an instant or a moment. The Lord, Har, Har, the Giver of peace, grants His Grace, and the Gurmukhs drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. The Lord blesses them with faith, and unites them in His Union; the Lord Himself adorns them. I am a sacrifice, I am a sacrifice to the Gursikhs, my dear friends. 3 The Lord Himself, the Lord Himself He is the Immaculate Almighty Lord God. The Lord Himself, the Lord Himself, unites us with Himself; that which He does, comes to pass. Whatever is pleasing to the Lord God, that alone comes to pass; nothing else can be done. Even by all sorts of clever tricks, He cannot be obtained; all have grown weary of practicing cleverness. By Gurus Grace, servant Nanak beholds Him; without the Lord, I have no other at all. Why Guroo Gobind Singh Came to This Earth
ਹਮ ਏਹ ਕਾਜ ਜਗਤ ਮੋ ਆਏ ॥

I have come into this world for this purpose.
ਧਰਮ ਹੇਤ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
dhharam haeth guradhaev pat(h)aaeae
There supreme Guru has sent me for the protection of righteousness.
ਜਹਾਂ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੁਮ ਧਰਮ ਬਿਥਾਰੋ ॥
jehaa(n) thehaa(n) thum dhharam bithhaaro
Propogate righteousness everywhere;
ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖੀਯਨਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਪਛਾਰੋ ॥ 42 ॥
dhusatt dhokheeyan pakar pashhaaro 42
seize and destroy the sinful and the wicked.

ਧਰਮ ਚਲਾਵਨ ਸੰਤ ਉਬਾਰਨ ॥
dhharam chalaavan sa(n)th oubaaran
I have come for spreading divine religion and for protecting the saints.
ਦੁਸਟ ਸਭਨ ਕੋ ਮੂਲ ਉਪਾਰਨ ॥ 43 ॥
dhusatt sabhan ko mool oupaaran 43
And for annihilating and uprooting all the tyrants

I have come into this world for this purpose.
ਧਰਮ ਹੇਤ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਪਠਾਏ ॥

There supreme Guru has sent me for the protection of righteousness.
ਜਹਾਂ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੁਮ ਧਰਮ ਬਿਥਾਰੋ ॥
jehaa(n) thehaa(n) thum dhharam bithhaaro
Propogate righteousness everywhere;
ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖੀਯਨਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਪਛਾਰੋ ॥ 42 ॥
dhusatt dhokheeyan pakar pashhaaro 42
seize and destroy the sinful and the wicked.
ਯਾਹੀ ਕਾਜ ਧਰਾ ਹਮ ਜਨਮੰ ॥

I have taken birth for this purpose.
